Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy, spoke about the character’s future on the podcast

Introduced in the third season of the series, Soldier Boy is a super powerful famous since the Cold War era and presumed missing. After being awakened from a dormant state in a Russian prison, he returns to the United States to exact revenge on those who betrayed him, only to discover a new era for the country’s supers.
During his passage through the series, he ends up being revealed as the father of Captain Homeland (Antony Starr), with whom he has a fight in the final episode of season 3. Attacked by his own son in conjunction with Billy Gross (Karl Urban), he is defeated and imprisoned again.
The statement about the character’s future came on the podcast Awards Radarto which Ackles commented that he is “not allowed to give anything away”, but with hints about a possible appearance by Soldier Boy in the series.
“There’s some stuff coming up. I’m not allowed to give anything away, but let’s just say Soldier Boy isn’t dead. Thank God!”
The Boys promises “grotesque” season
The 4th year of The Boys is already being produced by Prime Video and, according to updates made by Stephan Fleetthe production’s producer and VFX supervisor, has impressive visual effects.
“My eyes cannot help but see what I have just now seen,” he wrote, for example, in September of last year.
Last January, the producer revealed that a specific scene is more impressive than expected.
“I think I saw the most grotesque scene I’ve seen in all these years in the business,” he wrote.
