Sarah Jessica Parker portrays Carrie Bradshaw in all productions of the Sex and the City franchise

main star of sex and the city and the movies, Sarah Jessica Parker never appeared nude in a scene in the franchise – and revealed the reason behind it.

During an interview with The Howard SternShowfrom the SiriusXMlast Thursday, the 29th, the iconic actress revealed how she hesitated a bit before signing a contract with HBOa TV channel known for adult productions (and many with nudity).

“I thought the script was really interesting and exciting and different and new and I had never seen anything like it. The only thing I told him that concerned me was that I just wasn’t comfortable doing nudity and I suspected that if I wasn’t in the pilot , would be part of a series,” said parker.

In addition, the artist commented on how Darren Starcreator of sex and the citysoothed her about concerns about appearing nude in the original series: “He said, ‘Don’t do it then… we’ll have other actors, if they feel comfortable doing it, they’ll do it, but you don’t have to.'”

I don’t think I ever felt comfortable exposing myself in that way. I never judged anyone doing that, it wasn’t a matter of morality… I was shy.

“We were in HBO and I knew it meant how we could say whatever we wanted, and we could be loose and liberal and salty and lewd,” continued Sarah Jessica Parker. “But I also thought that therefore it meant we needed to be disciplined and we shouldn’t use the language just because we could.”

Carrie Bradshaw is a writer, and she’s very, very, very thoughtful about what she says, how she says it, when she says it, who she’s saying it to, and if we want to use language, let’s think very hard about when she uses it, we can be smart about it.
