Promising first pictures for Bernadette
Series creator Young and greedywith Léa Domenach he signs his first feature film Bernadette. A movie loosely based on the life of Bernadette Chirac, played by Catherine Deneuve. This comedy begins with the first lady’s arrival at the Elysée, following the election of Jacques Chirac in 1995.
Noting that she suffers from an inglorious image and that many people find her maudlin, austere and cold according to the satisfaction survey conducted by her adviser Bernard Niquet (Denis Podalydès), Bernadette will create a plan for the French to discover his true personality. Gradually, her popularity rating will surpass that of her husband Jacques (Michel Vuillermoz). The latter will realize that he will be an important asset for her re-election.
Sara Giraudeau, Artus, Lionel Abelanski and Laurent Stocker complete the cast of Bernadette, which is revealed through extremely promising first images. Visibly locked in a closet in the presidential palace with Bernard Niquet, Bernadette Chirac discovers to her disappointment that she is far from being appreciated, and begins to implement this famous ruse that will take her entourage by surprise.
