However, despite her professional and personal history, there is still one aspect of the job that makes Sandler nervous: kissing his co-star. Her aversion to kissing Aniston on screen sparked an unexpected message from his wife, Jackie Sandler. The Sandlers have done several projects together, including the first murder mystery, so Madame sees much of her husband’s work on set. And that, of course, includes her recent on-screen kiss with Jennifer Aniston. Adam Sandler joked with Access to Hollywood that he feels bad that his co-stars have to kiss him, especially in front of his wife. But apparently her wife’s feelings about it are slightly different, as she actually encouraged him to give her the best of Aniston. Sandler said exactly:
There are many, yes. My cinematic kisses are never as beautiful as they could be. It’s not just her, I feel really bad about the one I have to kiss. I’m like, ‘They don’t want to do this.’ But I do. Jennifer is one of my closest friends and Jackie’s closest friend. So she says, “Would you like to entertain Jennifer with this kiss, please?”
Given that Jennifer Aniston and Jackie Sandler are close friends, it could be assumed that there is a significant level of comfort when it comes to scenes like this. It must be a bit of a relief for Adam Sandler, even if he doesn’t plan on kissing a lot himself. You must love a wife who supports her husband in this way. And I’m sure with your help, Aniston and Sandler’s work should be much better. The comedy-mystery sequel is complete but, as of this writing, Netflix hasn’t announced an official release date.
The SNL Alum’s comments about not being a good kisser are somewhat surprising. Considering he’s dated the likes of Kate Beckinsale, Salma Hayek, and Winona Ryder, you’d think he’d be a pro by now. The actor also frequently kissed his co-star Drew Barrymore. Since none of his colleagues have complained outright, I’d say the actor is probably not giving himself enough credit.
Before Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston kiss onscreen in Murder Mystery 2, Sandler will kiss Queen Latifah, who plays his wife in Febrile activity. The sports drama, which has received rave reviews, is currently playing in select theaters and will be available to stream on June 8 with a Netflix subscription.
