Ryan Gosling: THE Ken of Barbie
Absent from the screens for four years between 2018 and 2022, Ryan Gosling made his return through the Netflix platform with the blockbuster The gray man. A feature film that allowed him to make a foray into brawny action film, he who until then had not been a client of explosions and shootings even though he was at the center of breathtaking chases and brutal bare-knuckle fights in Guide AND Only God forgives.
If is no stranger to comedy, having notably delivered delightful performances Stupid, crazy love AND The good guysRyan Gosling will take over this year a new challenge with Barbie. In the feature film by Greta Gerwig (ladybug, Dr. March’s daughters), the actor lends his features to one of the Ken, and last but not least.

This Ken is none other than the one who accompanies the heroine played by Margot Robbie in the real world. And once he’s out of Barbieland, Ken obviously struggles to make the most of the potential he’s convinced he has.

Barbie: Ryan Gosling sings “Just Ken” in a delirious clip
“I doubted my Kenergie at first”

While on SiriusXM with several other team members, the actor humorously explained ithe feared that he didn’t fit in with the tone of the film (through The casing):
At first I doubted my Kenergie. It was a perfect symphony and I didn’t want to be the only instrument out of tune. I wasn’t sure I could do it. (…) But I decided to play Ken thoroughly. I’m Kennais in the morning, I’m Kennais at night and to be honest, I’m a little Kenner right now.
Barbie it is to be discovered in cinemas from July 19, 2023.
