Secret invasion : Nick Fury doesn’t know where to turn anymore
Series Secret invasion continues its merry way on Disney+. Marvel Studios has released episode 4 on Disney+ from the Kyle Bradstreet series. A key episode as it brings its share of revelations.
Warning, SPOILERS!
In this episode 4, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) learns that his wife Priscilla (Charlayne Woodard), of Skrull origin, with whom he has been married for decades, works for Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir). The latter even forces Priscilla to assassinate her husband to prove her loyalty to the warlike Skrulls. Priscilla refuses. And Nick Fury then uses it to find out who the Skrulls around him are.
It was with undisguised shock that the former director of SHIELD (and viewers) found out James Rhodey, aka War Machine (again played by Don Cheadle) is actually a Skrull! We then see him step out of the shower, and second surprise, in his Skrull form it looks like he isan alien woman. The credits tell us who her name is Raava and is interpreted for the occasion by Nisha Aaliya. A character straight from the Marvel Comics.
How long has he been a Skrull?
James Rhodey has been in the MCU since the very beginning Iron man (2008). At that time, in Jon Favreau’s film, the character was played by Terrence Howard. But since then Iron man 2the famous War Machine is played by Don Cheadle. An actor who matters 8 appearances in the MCU.
This revelation about his true identity is therefore a small tidal wave. War Machine is a Skrull! But for how long? This is the question that has been on everyone’s lips since this discovery. Hard to know when Tony Stark’s faithful companion went to the enemy. He is a Skrull from the recent events of Secret invasionOR has it been replaced by a shape-shifting alien many years ago?

Kevin Feige recently brought a mic response element from marvel. comsuggesting it in mid-word the character has been a Skrull for some time now:
We love the idea of fans looking at some of Rhodey’s previous appearances and realizing it wasn’t him.
According to our own hypothesis, James Rhodey would be at least a Skrull from the events of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The character appears briefly in the series dedicated to relatives of Steve Rogers. Already, at that time, Rhodey was a politician who had risen through the ranks of the American administration. Logically, at this precise moment, he is already a Skrull trying to integrate government authorities. Especially as the show ends with a big reveal: Agent Carter is also a Skrull.
The Death of Talos
In addition to this major twist, this episode 4 of Secret invasion it also ends with a shocking element. Indeed, after losing Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) during the first episode, Nick Fury just said goodbye to one of his relatives again. This time, Gravik assassinates Talos (Ben Mendelsohn). Just enough to further infuriate our favorite one-eyed, who sees his friends being decimated one after another by the terrible Gravik … This episode 4 was therefore an important chapterwhich accelerates the pace of the series.
Secret Invasion will follow on Disney+.
