At the Summer Game Festival on Thursday, Neil Drakman, co-creator and executive producer of the series, shared the first photo of the show with stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as lead characters Joel and Ellie.
Drumman, who is also the best-selling video game writer and creative director, also announced that Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, voice actors The last of us Games, will be part of the HBO series. They will play different characters than they appear in the games.

Druckman and Craig Mazin are co-creators, executive producers, writers and directors. Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, Asad Kizilba, Carter Swan and Rose Lam are also present. HBO and Sony Pictures TV co-produce with PlayStation Productions, Word Games and Naughty Dog. Kantemir Balagov, Jasmila Zbanic, Ali Abbas, Peter Hoar, Jeremy Webb and Lisa Johnson will also decide on the episodes.
