Britney Spears, 40, and her fiancé, Sam Asghari, 28, could exchange marriage vows today, June 9, according to TMZ sources, which are rarely wrong with insiders. The preparation of the event is kept in the strictest confidence, but it is already known that the couple will hold a chamber, by Hollywood standards, ceremony for 100 guests.
The singer’s parents are not invited to the celebration, however, as well as her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, with whom Britney has a strained relationship. At the same time, it is known that the pop diva’s brother Brian should be present at the wedding. Therefore, the question of who will lead Britney down the altar remains open.
Nothing is yet known about the singer’s wedding dress, which Donatella Versace herself sews. A little less than three months ago, the bride met with the designer, and a little later she published a photo from the fitting, in which you can only see the puffy skirt made of multi-layered tulle.
Recall that Spears and Asghari met in 2016 on the set of the SlumberParty video, but got engaged only in the fall of 2021, shortly after the star was released from custody. For Britney, the engagement was a real event, because being under the control of her father, she could not independently decide with whom to connect her life – Jamie Spears forbade Britney to marry and have children. Since their engagement, Spears and Asghari have enjoyed a string of romantic getaways, seen in Hawaii, Las Vegas, and the luxury Mexican resorts of Cabo San Lucas and Cancun.
In April of this year, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby, and in May they tragically lost their common first child in the early stages of pregnancy. However, lovers are not going to give up trying to conceive a baby.
Note that Spears already has two sons from a previous marriage with dancer Kevin Federline – 16-year-old Sean Preston and 15-year-old Jayden.
