Maggie Cullen presents “The Humpa”, his second single. And to which he had the collaboration of Nadia Larcher.
“When I met this zamba, I wanted to sing it with someone. I wanted the chorus to be two so that it gains more strength, more presence. I thought of women I admired from folklore who could sing with the spirit I was looking for, and Nadia Larcher popped up,” the artist said.
And he added: “I didn’t know her and I was encouraged to invite her and she said yes with a lot of love and came to the studio. When I saw her, I confirmed that that was going to work. The mixture of timbres, manners of the song… Its expressiveness with the body, so sensitive, made me sing in a different way.
“La Humpa”, rest is the second single from the album “Canciones del Viento”, which will be released in a few daysand was edited by DBN.
Winner of the Prix Gardel 2023 in the category “Best folk song” for her interpretation of “Canto Versos” by Jorge Fandermole, Maggie Cullen is the new voice of folklore.
