William Fishtner: from Heat has Hypnotic
Since the 1990s William Fichtner has established himself as an emblematic face of American cinema. In more than thirty years of career, the actor has shot under the direction of Kathryn Bigelow (Strange days), Michael Mann (Heat), Robert Zemeckis (Contact), Michael Bay (Armageddon, Pearl Harbor), Wolfgang Petersen (In the middle of a storm), Ridley Scott (The Fall of the Black Falcon), Christopher Nolan (The dark Knight) or Tommy Lee Jones (The homebody). An impressive filmography, also marked by memorable roles on television, especially in evasion, Surroundings OR Mom.
To this long list is added the collaboration with Robert Rodriguez Hypnotic. A thriller full of twists, in which the actor lends his features to Dellrayne, a very powerful medium at the origin of a series of robberies investigated by police officer Danny Rourke (Ben Affleck). An unforgettable encounter
During the 76th Cannes Film Festival, where Hypnotic was presented in the midnight session, we met William Fichtner. The actor spoke in particular about some of his most important collaborations, including those with Ridley Scott and Robert Rodriguez.

The actor also returned to his participation The dark KnightChristopher Nolan’s masterpiece in which meet the Joker during the historic introduction. And William Fichtner has no intention of forgetting his meeting with Heath Ledger, which immediately left him speechless as the criminal on the verge of devastating Gotham:
What I remember most about filming this scene was when we did the first take with the Joker, when Heath Ledger came in.
I had never met him and I’m a fan of actors who can really own their character, like him.
I remember when Heath came in and when we did the first take of that intro, and I remember looking at it and thinking, ‘That’s really good, that’s REALLY good!’ He was very calm, very concentrated.
