Finally the photos of Ferrari by Michael Mann
For many decades, Michael Mann wants to make a biopic about Enzo Ferrari, the famous driver and creator of the racing team. A genre already approached by the filmmaker with Wings (2002). This project, the director of Heat (1996) finally managed to make it happen.
The shooting of the film took place during the summer of 2022 with Adam Driver in the title role, accompanied by Penélope Cruz and Shailene Woodley who respectively embody Laura, wife of Enzo Ferrari, and his lover Lina Lardi. A year later, the feature film is finally unveiled with official images thanks to a teaser uploaded by NEON.
The video is not very talkative as it is the noise of the engines that is heard. We understand, however, that this biopic will span a great time in Ferrari’s life. We see it like this behind the wheel as a driverthen at the head of the stable. His family life his wife and son are also highlighted, but also the presence of his mistress. Note in passing a brief but important shot by Enzo Ferrari marked by the death of Alfredo Dino Ferrari, his son.
Finally, in addition to the family tragedy that should be at the heart of Michael Mann’s film, we see in these images the director’s representation of the automotive world. The video shows little. However, the only sentence uttered by Adam Driver in the end the teaser gives some real chills.
Either way, we’re eager to find out Ferrari. Unfortunately, there will be no theatrical release in France, but directly to Prime Video.
