About Joe Abujamra
Son of musician Andre Abujamra and film director Anna Muylaert, Joe Abujamra was born into the art world and, as a child, danced to the sound of appliances and the beatbox. It was while playing his brother’s guitar that, at age 13, São Paulo musician, singer and songwriter Joe Abujamra fell in love with that instrument. “I understood that there I felt complete. I got excited playing the blues and felt that playing the guitar was what I did best. Even then I knew that I would definitely be a musician ”- he commented.
After a few years performing in nights out and bars, he goes to study guitar at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, and when he returns to Brazil, in 2018, he starts performing and enters the studio to record his first album. Illegal Joe, while signing his works, “Found” comes out on June 30th with Tratore distribution.
