In Sex Education, Ncuti Gatwa interpreted Eric Effiongone of the most beloved characters by fans of the original series Netflix, in the four seasons. A few days before the premiere of final seasonthe actor revealed how the role healed “a lot of internalized hatred” he had.

During an interview with she, the actor reflected on the way in which the character has impacted his life, far beyond the film sets. “I’ve suffered from racism my whole life and although I’ve always believed in myself, I’ve always known that [os racistas] were stupid and uneducated, I think that misinformed my view of how the world works,” he said.
