Twins Then Kindergarten policemanI was in heaven”

So Arnold Schwarzenegger greeted James Cameron quoting Terminator 2, who definitively consecrated him? Or maybe he preferred Paul Verhoeven’s fantastic sci-fi thriller, Total recall ? For nothing. Without hesitation, the actor replied: Kindergarten policeman. Full of enthusiasm, he then explained her choice (from 1’05 in the video below).

I think it’s “The Kindergarten Cop.” My favorite film is a comedy, because I tried for many years to act in this genre, without success. Since the studios were making money from action movies, they said, “Why should we change anything? It’s perfect, we’re making a lot of money, we’ll give you more action movie scripts.”

So when I finally met Ivan Reitman, when we did ‘Twins’ and then ‘Kindergarten Cop’, I was in heaven! He was a terrific director.

His enthusiasm and sincerity are clearly visible in the image, and Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to deeply love this comedy released in 1991 and which has become a cult, whose the great success he was just dwarfed by the phenomenon Mom I missed the plane!released at the time a week later.
