The painful experience of the Green Hornet

On the occasion of the release of the feature film, we spoke with Michel Gondry. The director spoke to us about his career, his transition from music videos to cinema, and the anguish it was Eternal light of the pure mind or even the very complicated shots of the Green Hornet. Regarding his superhero film starring Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz and Christoph Waltz, the director told us:

The producer is crazy, he’s the one who does it Fast & Furious (Neal H. Moritz, ed.). He pushed me to shoot from every possible angle, even though I knew very well that the first camera position, the first shot, was good. We could have saved time and done more things. And above all I still had little room to be creative. Every idea had to be accepted. It was quite difficult because I think I have ideas that hold water, that can serve a story and that are original. But there are many things that, out of taste, Seth Rogen doesn’t want to hear about.
