Hopper, Joyce, Dr. Brenner appear young for Stranger Things play

The series of Netflix,Stranger Things, received an adaptation for London theaters, called “Stranger Things: The First Shadow”, What sets it apart is the presence of the characters Hopper, Joyce, Dr. Brenner and Henry Creel in its young versions, previously played by David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Matthew Modine and Jamie Campbell Bower.

“Stranger Things: The First Shadow” is a joint production of Netflix and Sonia Friedman Productions, which comes with the intention of “tying” fans to the plot while the fifth season continues with no premiere date due to the writers’ strike.

The cast has Oscar Lloyd, in the role of Hopper, Isabella Pappas like Joyce, Christopher Buckley like Bob, Louis McCartney playing Henry Creel and Patrick Vaill as Dr. Brenner.

The play was written by Kate Trefry and directed by Stephen Daldry, in partnership with Justin Martin and to Duffer brothers.

“With rehearsals underway, it’s a joy to discover the world of ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’ with our fiercely talented cast and see the alchemy between our entire company grow as we explore this new play together. They are an extraordinarily talented group of actors and we can’t wait to share this origin story with audiences,” they said. Daldry and Martin in a note to Variety.
