Mon Laferte has officially unveiled the music video for “Supermercado”, his latest single and one of those that make up his album “1940 Carmen”.

“I fulfilled my childhood dream #supermarket just out of the oven,” the Chilean-Mexican singer-songwriter commented on her social media to announce the release of her new material.

The theme is that of a walk through the aisles of a supermarket, where good and bad times intertwine, just like in life you have good days and bad days.

“I got angry with my partner at the supermarket and wrote the song while I was there. The aisle of a supermarket like the transit of life. Like a bad day. Like a strange day that will come , but which is lived and you also have to hug it to move on to the next chapter,” said Mon.

The clip was shot in sequence, in 16 millimeters inside a supermarketand was directed by Chilean filmmaker Camila Grandi, inspired by one of the chapters of the film “Nine Lives” by Colombian Rodrigo García Barcha.

As in this feature film, “an ex-couple meet after many years without seeing each other in a supermarket. It’s very interesting, because a super complex conflict takes place in a very everyday context and space. I love My , he has a lot of strength, I’m a big fan of her, moreover, she trusted my work a lot and that allowed me to create and be free, “said Grandi.
