Cannes Criminal Police made its notable debut on TF1 on Monday 9 October with the airing of the first two episodes. Noticed, but not necessarily for the right reasons. But when the first dialogues arrived, the audience noticed it with amazement the series was dubbed for the French version.

The reason is simple, Cannes Criminal Police it actually is a co-production with the United States, United Kingdom, Sweden and France. The actors and actresses then filmed in English. Then, for the French broadcast, the two actresses dubbed themselves. The problem is that the synchronization leaves a little to be desired and the dubbing is very strong. A thousand miles from what is usually offered.

Some spectators therefore heavily criticized Cannes Criminal Police, and TF1 also saw its audience decline dramatically between the airing of the first episode and the second. It is still surprising that, to appreciate a series with two French personalities like Lucie Lucas and Shy’m, one has to go through VOST. Especially for a program offered by TF1. However, the actress encourages viewing the episodes this way. To see if the audience will like this during the airing of episodes 3 and 4, scheduled for Monday 16 October. In the meantime the episodes are available on VF and VOST on MyTF1.
