Cannes Criminal Police: The finale is a huge flop on TF1

Cannes Criminal Police : a failure for TF1

On paper there was everything to make it work. A detective series with a good dose of humor and lightness that takes place on the Croisette. Added to this are famous personalities well known to the TF1 audience: Lucia Luca (Clem) and Shy’m (Profiling). But over the course of the episodes, Cannes Criminal Police kept losing audiences.

It’s probably largely to blame to dubbing amazing of the series. Since the series is an international co-production, the filming took place in English and the artists then doubled. But the result was not up to par and the spectators let it be known. Lucie Lucas tried to make up for it by apologizing for the absence of VOST during the broadcast on TF1. Ultimately insufficient for vision public data of the second and final evening dedicated to Cannes Criminal Police.

Less than 1 million spectators watched the final

TF1 has in fact chosen to broadcast three episodes on Monday 9 October, and the other three that make up the first season on Monday 16 October. Believing that the channel felt that success would not be there and that it was necessary limit a broadcast to two evenings instead of three.

Already the first episodes had only brought together 2.6 million viewers, or a market share of 13.7%, plus a loss of 923,000 viewers between the first and second episodes. For the next three episodes of Cannes Criminal Police, it’s even worse! With an average of 1.71 million viewers in attendance for episodes 4 and 5, that is 8.9% market share in prime time. And for the final episodefrom then on the loss was however colossal only 922,000 viewers watched it.

With Cannes Criminal PoliceTF1 executed his worst audience in the last 6 years. A real disaster for the channel which has not had great success with its latest productions, such as A boy, a girl (plural). A season 2 of the series worn by Lucie Lucas and Shy’m therefore seems very unlikely.
