The Three Musketeers part 2: Milady takes up arms in the epic trailer

The Three Musketeers: Part 2 is coming soon

The second part of the French blockbuster The Three Musketeers directed by Martin Bourboulon arrives in theaters on December 13th. While the first film was dedicated to the arrival of D’Artagnan (François Civil) in the Musketeers and the story of the “Queen’s ferrets”, the second film, entitled Milady, will focus on the quartet’s enemy, played by Eva Green. In particular, we will discover the heavy secret that he hides, and the terrible revenge that he is preparing.

As for the political part of the plot, this will focus on another great piece of the novel (and French history) by Alexandre Dumas, namely the famous “siege of La Rochelle” sponsored by Cardinal Richelieu, against the Protestants.

Milady, La Rochelle and Hannibal

In the first trailer of The Three Musketeers: Milady revealed today, we find that D’Artagnan and the woman who promised to destroy him are getting dangerously close. The young musketeer discovers in particular that Milady is at the origin of the disappearance of Constance Bonacieux (Lyna Khoudri) and that she is the only one who knows where she is.

As Eva Green revealed to us when the first part was released, we will discover Milady’s warrior side in this second film. While in the previous work he acted rather in the shadowsin this he will take up arms more, and therefore we should be served on the duel side.

As mentioned above, this second part of the diptych will focus on a chapter in the history of France which plays an important role in Alexandre Dumas’ novel : the La Rochelle headquarters. And the first images of the reconstruction of this intense confrontation between Cardinal Richelieu’s army and the Protestants announce a vibrant and epic rendering.

In this first trailer we also notice a new character: Hannibal, the black musketeer, played by Ralph Amoussou. This character, inspired by Prince Aniabaactually existed, he will join the musketeers to lend them a hand.

The first film comes out in cinemas

For viewers who didn’t have the opportunity to see The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnanor who would like to refresh their memory while waiting for the sequel, Pathé has decided to release the first film in theaters on December 6thand for a limited period (until December 13th).

It is worth highlighting Milady it will also premiere in Pathé theaters on December 10, six days before its national release.
