New season announced with photos of June (Elizabeth Moss) and Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski) on Hulu’s social media
Hulu, the streaming channel responsible for the production of The Handmaid’s Taleconfirmed the premiere of the fifth season of the series for the 14th of September in the United States.
The information was released on the series’ official Twitter with the release date and two photos featuring June (Elisabeth Moss) and Serena (Yvonne Strahovski), both in mourning outfits:

The new season will see June (Moss) living through the aftermath of the assassination of the Commander of Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) when he returned from his fight against Gilead.
The series had been renewed in December 2020 and the initial three seasons can be watched on Globoplay and on Paramount+. The premiere dates of the new season in Brazil have not yet been revealed.
