New episodes of the series, which turns 60 in 2023, do not yet have a release date
The 14th season of Doctor Whowhich will star Ncuti Gatwain Sex Educationhasn’t even premiered yet, but filming for the 15th year of the series, which first came to television in 1963, is already underway.
The announcement was made on the official profile of Doctor Who on the social networks: “The TARDIS is ready! Filming for series two of Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor begins today”, said the publication. Check out the announcement video:

Doctor Who follows the adventures of a time traveler, the last of his kind, known as Doctor. More than a dozen actors have already taken on the role and Ncuti Gatwawho will play the 15th version of the character from its 14th season, replaces Jodie Whittakerthe first woman to play the protagonist.
In addition to Gatwa, Yasmin Finneyin Heartstopperwill also be in the new phase of Doctor Who as Rose Temple-Nobledaughter of Donna Noble (Catherine Tate), the Doctor’s former companion, and Shaun Temple (Karl Collins). The 14th year cast will also feature Jinkx Monsoontwo-time winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
