“Dune: The Sisterhood”series derived from the film universe Duneits debut has been postponed until the second half of 2024. According to the president of HBO, Casey Bloys, the series hits the screens of HBO Max between the months of September and November with the new title “Dune: The Prophecy”(Dune: The Prophecy).

The name change was due to possible creative changes throughout the project, the series suffered with the departure of the director Johan Renck and the actress Shirley Henderson. Shortly after these exits, the HBO Max released a statement saying that changes being made were part of “an effort to create the best series possible and stay true to the source material.”

The film, initially directed by Dennis Villeneuveis a collaboration between HBO Max and the Legendary. Set in a period 10 thousand years before the rise of Paul Atreides (character from Thimothee Chalamet). The plot shows the Harkonnen Sisters and its fight against threats that put the destiny of humanity at risk, at the same time, giving rise to the sect recognized as Bene Gesserit.
