Eco, which premieres in January 2024, will be the new label’s first production
Trying to give a new look to its cinematic universe, the Marvel announced a new segment of productions, Marvel Spotlight, with stories less connected to the main story of the franchise, which already has around 40 interconnected films, series and specials.
In an interview with the official Marvel website [via Variety], Brad Winderbaumthe studio’s head of streaming, stated that the new segment “will give us the opportunity to bring more solid, character-focused stories to the screen”:
“Just as comic book fans don’t need to read Avengers or Fantastic Four to enjoy a unique history of Ghost Riderour audience won’t need to have seen other Marvel series to understand what’s going on”he added.
The first production to enter the new label is Echowhich premieres in January 2024, despite the series being derived from Archer hawkwhich premiered in 2021 on Disney+. Alaqua Cox will return to play the protagonist of the production, Maya Lopezand the novelty will also feature the participation of Charlie Cox as demolisher It is Vincent D’Onofrio as King of crimefrom the series demolisher (2015-2018).
