One of the main singers of the generation, Billie Eilish it becomes a topic even in songs that have nothing to do with it. This was the case of “Another Late Night,” music by Drake in which Lil Yachty says: “She had big breasts like Billie Eilishbut I didn’t know how to sing.” Now, the artist responded to this mention and commented on her reaction.
After the release of For All the Dogseighth studio album by Drake which features the song in question, several fans of Eilish criticized the two rappers for the verse, and classified it as crude and malicious.
During an interview with Variety, the singer was asked about the mention, and responded with good humor. “I think it’s fun! I’m flattered! Yachty is my friend. Drake is my friend. It’s a joke. I have big breasts. I love it,” she stated.
The ‘stupidest song in the world’, according to Billie Eilish
At just 17 years old, Billie Eilish released one of the most successful studio albums of 2019, titled When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?alongside his brother, Finneas. However, the singer opined that one of the songs on this album is the “stupidest in the world.”
During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! (via NME) with Finneas, Eilish reflected on his short but successful career. According to her, the song in question is “bad guy,” responsible for reaching the top of the charts in 2019 and winner of several categories in the Grammys 2020as Record of the Year It is Song of the Year.
“Objectively, ‘Bad Guy‘ is the stupidest song in the world, but it’s really good. It’s like you have to understand, you have to have humor in it,” the artist said. “Like, I’m trolling in that song. This song is supposed to be silly, but it’s funny because it’s stupid. It’s literally, like, ‘Duh.’ Like, what does that mean?”
Right away, Billie Eilish shared his own thoughts on artists who “hate their music so much,” and explained how it feels “very frustrating, why are you doing this then?”
I feel like we’re both fans of what we do. I love my own music and it definitely changes and transforms with me. I still feel ashamed of others, but I appreciate it.
