THE Paramount Animation announced this Wednesday, the 15th, that it is developing three animated films of Avatar: The Legend of Aang. The information is from Variety.
The trilogy will be based on the animation story of Nickelodeon, about a boy who can manipulate water, earth, fire and air. The show aired from 2005 to 2008, with three seasons in all.
The story also inspired a spinoff series, titled Avatar: The Legend of Korra (2012), as well as an upcoming live-action program on Netflix.
Paramoun made the announcement on Annecy International Animation Film Festival, a film festival dedicated to animation. Plot details about the upcoming trilogy were not shared.
Directed by Lauren Montgomerythe projects will have the involvement of the creators of the franchise, Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartinowho will act as producers.
