Ricardo Arjona announced his retirement from the stage

He’s retiring. The news is shocking. And it’s not for less. Ricardo Arjona has admitted that he will no longer go on stage. And it even opened up a huge question about his musical future.

He made the announcement on his social media, where he revealed that suffers from a health problem which prevents him from continuing his presentations. It was after the show he gave in Chile.

“A FAREWELL TO SANTIAGO. Thank you for making the impossible so easy,” the Guatemalan wrote on his Instagram account. And he continues: “I thought I wasn’t ready to take a step and yesterday afternoon I ended up doing a marathon on the longest improvised podium of my life. It’s almost like my career has been going on all along.”

“Today will be the last Blanco y Negro concert. To all the cities touched by this 159 concert tour, my eternal gratitude. To the doctors who got me back on my feet so I could complete this journey by postponing an impending surgery, thank you very much,” he stressed.

And there he found himself in his health problems. “I had six spinal infiltrations with me over the last two months to be able to stand in these goodbyes. I come from my dear Argentina, which gave me songs in the streets and a glory that I did not deserve, I say goodbye to this Chile of so many stories and affections.

“I will have to disappear to invent a reason greater than that. If I don’t find it, I prefer not to come back. Life and people have been immensely generous to this Guatemalan who, while playing the guitar, added a few words and in trying out a melody he attained a degree he had never suspected.

“My name is Ricardo, those who love me call me DRY, and happier and fuller than ever, although with a pain that will soon belong to ancient history, I say goodbye and thank youwith all my heart.”
