Where was the siege of La Rochelle filmed?

In an interview given to France Blue, director Martin Bourboulon revealed the secrets of filming this second part, and in particular the shots of the sequence of the siege of La Rochelle. Contrary to what you might think, this part was not filmed in the Charente-Maritime city, but in Saint-Malo:

We said to ourselves that what would most resemble the 17th century siege of La Rochelle would ultimately be Saint-Malo with its ramparts and towers. The city of La Rochelle itself wasn’t necessarily the easiest thing to shoot in these sequences. And we all fell in love with Saint-Malo because we were able to say so, of what already exists of the royal decor of Saint-Malo, of the port and what we can do with it, of the ideas that we will reconstruct After the siege of La Rochelle, for bringing these important towers of La Rochelle back to life, we found that Saint-Malo was truly the ideal location.
