Ten Percent: a French cult series
In November 2020, at the end of four seasons well seen by viewers, the series Ten percent created by Fanny Herrero has withdrawn from France 2. Over the course of 24 episodes the public discovered the behind the scenes of the profession of protagonist agent through the adventures of the ASK agency.
Every episode of Ten percent they mixed the intrigues related to the lives of the agents and their interactions with their famous clientele, embodied by real celebrities who played their roles. We remember in particular the presence of Isabelle Adjani, Jean Dujardin, Isabelle Huppert and Juliette Binoche.
At the center of the series was a quartet of agents, each with their own personality: Andréa (Camille Cottin), Mathias (Thibault de Montalembert), Gabriel (Grégory Montel) and Arlette (Liliane Rovère). Also joining this quartet are assistants Camille (Fanny Sidney), Hervé (Nicolas Maury) and Noémie (Laure Calamy), without forgetting the switchboard operator/actress Sofia (Stéfi Celma). Starting from the second season, another character was added to this cheerful group: Hicham, the new head of ASK, played by Assaad Bouab.
A long-awaited return
The final season of Ten percent ended in dramatic fashion for our ASK agents. After being torpedoed by Elise Formain of competing agency Starmédia, all their talent was gone and the agency was forced to declare bankruptcy.
Camille had decided to found her own agency for young talents in the company of Mathias and Arlette, Gabriel had reluctantly accepted Elise’s blackmail to join her at Starmédia, Noémie was about to start her career as a producer and Hervé had decided to become an actor. As for Andréa, he still didn’t know what the future would hold for her, other than winning her back as his wife.
Four years after seeing the doors of the ASK elevator close, Ten percent will return very soon in a 90 minute unit. In July Dominique Besnehard, the producer of the series, revealed the first information on the plot. We thus discovered that Andréa, just returned from New York, had decided to direct her first film. We should therefore find her negotiating with the talent of her former colleagues.
While no air date has been revealed yet, the entire team on the series, with the exception of Camille Cottin, met this week to share dinner and likely talk about the future. Thus, around Fanny Herrero and the director Antoine Garceau, we can see (from left to right): Nicolas Maury, Grégory Montel, Liliane Rovère, Laure Calamy, Fanny Sidney, Assad Bouab, Thibault de Montalembert and Stéfi Celma.
The shooting of the TV movie Ten Percent is expected to take place very soon. We can’t wait to see our agents again!
