Catherine Reitman’s Mother Comedy working mothers It has completed its upcoming seventh season.
The daughter of late Hollywood director Ivan Wrightman writes, directs and starred in the comedy, which aired on CBC Canada in 2017 before Netflix signed Canadian imports two years later. The final season will release on CBC and CBC Gem in winter 2023, followed by a worldwide release on Netflix.
Wolf + Rabbit Entertainment is working on a final season in Toronto, consisting of 13 half-hour episodes.
So, with love and gratitude, I declare season seven as our final season. Many thanks to our partners, CBC and Netflix, for being behind the show, illuminating the darkest corners of motherhood. Those of you who stopped me on the street to share your love for the show, I see you. I understand you. And thank you. “Go get them moms,” Reitman said in a statement.
Reitman will return and will play in the final season as Danny Kind, Jessalin Vanlim, Philip Sternberg, Ryan Bellville, Sarah McVeigh, Seddie Manroe, Peter Kellegan, Nick Duvall and Enuka Okuma Sloan Mitchell.
The creator and star also posted a video on Twitter where he shared the news, calling the final season “fun” and “deeply emotional” as a “love letter” to fans and his father, who died earlier this year. The previous season ended on the rock.
