A federal judge has ordered the arrest of Rovier Carrington, who is accused of giving false testimony on the false accusation of raping late Paramount boss Brad Gray for missing his criminal trial. Carrington says he was unable to attend because he was immunocompromised and was advised not to leave.
“The court gave Mr. Carrington many opportunities,” the statement said on Friday.
In 2018, Carrington sued Viacom for more than $50 million to cover a corporate rape scheme by Gray and the exploitation of former MTV boss Brian Griden. He claimed that his confession was obtained through torture and that his confession was obtained through torture. The case collapsed when the email’s authenticity was questioned, causing Carrington to lose his lawyer. He tried to recover the case, but the case was transferred to the Department of Justice, who charged him with perjury.
Carrington, who claims to be Hollywood royalty as Mo Howard’s grandson Three StoogesHe was supposed to appear in person at a status conference on Thursday and a bail hearing on Friday, but was unable to do so. In a letter to the court on Friday, he asked US District Judge Valerie Capron to allow him to appear remotely from California until he gets a second push to travel.
“I apologize and take full responsibility for what happened,” Carrington wrote. “I want to be able to change my immunodeficiency, but I can’t. I was trying to question my health and appear in public today, but if I were to travel to New York, my physical health would be at risk and the possibility of a fair trial would be impeded. My doctor advised me not to travel or get involved in groups as this is fatal to my health.
The judge refused, pointing to the fact that second boosters are recommended for immunosuppressed people starting in March.
“The court is tired of hearing the same excuses over and over again,” the order reads.
According to court records, Carrington’s doctor advised her not to leave for a month after taking another COVID-19 booster. Caproni refused to allow Carrington to appear remotely because she had not planned to receive the amplifier beforehand, even though she had been warned for two and a half months at the hearing.
A lawyer for Carrington and the Department of Justice did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
