Aired between 2009 and 2015, Glee came to an end in its sixth season, but may have a new version in the future, depending on the production’s co-creator, Brad Falchuk. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporterthe screenwriter, director and producer stated that the possibility of doing a remake was never ruled out.
“I’m sure nothing is off the table. But is there a way to tell that story in a more modern way?”provoked Falchuk.
“Much of what Glee what it was really about was this transition from an old way of seeing representation to a new way. I would never say no [para um remake]but I wonder what the point would be [de fazê-lo – exceto para ganhar dinheiro”, acrescentou.
In Glee, which is available in full on Disney+, a teacher tried to inspire students at McKinley High School to revive the old and successful Glee club, the school choir. However, no one is very interested, except a group of displaced young people, who don’t help with the group’s popularity.
