Playing Roman Roy, Kieran Culkin won the Golden Globe in the category of Best Actor in a TV Series – Drama
Kieran Culkin believes that a spin-off of Succession it would be “a horrible idea”. On the red carpet at the Golden Globes, which took place last Sunday, the 7th, the actor told Variety that “there should be a joke about it.”
Despite being against the idea, Culkin admitted that Frasier — spin-off of Cheers — is an exception to the rule: “I know you’re going to say, ‘Remember Frasier?’ Yes, we all love Frasierbut not every series can be Frasier.”
Still, the interpreter of Roman Roy admitted that a spin-off of cousin Greg, the role of Nicholas Braun, it could work. “Cousin Greg would make a good spin-off, I have to be honest,” he said.
The presenter of Variety, Marc Malkinthen, suggested that Kieran could make some appearances in the series, to which the actor responded: “For like… Opening applause? Would that work on a series like this? That’s why I would do it.”
