A member of the production team for Wonder Man, the new Marvel series starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom), died after suffering an accident on the set of the new film.
According to information from the The Hollywood Reporter, the victim, whose name was not released, was an editor and had fallen from the rafters on set. The series was not being recorded at that time, but work for the day was cancelled.
“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends, and our support is with the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” Marvel said in a press release.
Wonder Man tells the story of simon williams, an actor, who ends up gaining powers such as super strength, invulnerability and electromagnetic manipulation, which leads him to become a superhero. The character was created in 1964 and will soon be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
