Upon its release, the film was a magnificent success in theaters, with nearly $700 million in box office receipts. It is considered by many to be one of the studio’s best recent animated films.

According to the first information revealed by Variety, Moana 2 it will mark the reunion between the young girl and Maui. They will be joined by a team of unlikely navigators. Following an unexpected call from her navigator ancestors, Vaiana will find herself catapulted into a mission that will take her with them to the distant seas of Oceania and in the heart of forgotten and dangerous maritime territories.
