Less than a week after the end of the fourth year of the anthology series, HBO announced that production will return with a new batch of episodes
Less than a week after the fourth season ended, HBO announced that True Detectivewill return for a fifth season soon, with the return of Issa López again as showrunner of the anthology series.
The Mexican producer, screenwriter and filmmaker was responsible for creating, developing, scripting, producing and directing the episodes of the fourth year of True Detectivebaptized Night Land and starring Jodie Foster (The Silence of the Lambs) It is Kali Reis (Infiltrator – Revenge Coup).

In True Detective: Nightland, two detectives, Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis), investigate the disappearance of eight men, who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station, in Ennis, Alaska. Watch the trailer:
