Starting this Tuesday, February 27th, HBO Max ceases to exist and gives way to a new platform with more content

Starting this Tuesday, February 27th, HBO Max subscribers will find a new streaming platform replacing the old one: Max. Launched in May last year in the United States, the new feature finally arrives in Brazil, bringing together HBO Max and Discovery+ content in one place.

The idea of the new platform is to separate it from the HBO brand – although the productions remain in the catalog – and make it more accessible for the whole family: “We all love HBO and it’s a brand that’s been building for over five decades. But it’s not exactly what parents tend to let their kids watch.”, declared the president of global game streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery, JB Perretteat the time of the platform’s announcement.

Now, in addition to titles from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures and Cartoon Netwoork, Max now has productions from Discovery and Discovery Home & Health, among others, in its catalogue, including reality shows such as Masterchef, Brothers at Work, Chopped: The Challenge It is Nightmare in the Kitchen.

To enjoy the streaming platform, subscribers will have to pay between R$29.90 (basic plan with ads) and R$477.90 (annual platinum plan). Those who were already subscribers to HBO Max must maintain their payment conditions until the next renewal, as well as those who took advantage of the platform’s launch promotion in Brazil and paid around R$17.45 until canceling their subscription.
