Narrative and aesthetic references
Considered one of the greatest thrillers in the history of cinema, Full sun is the 1960 adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novel Mr. Ripley, in which a young working-class man will kill and usurp the identity of a billionaire’s son. Thanks to his interpretation of the role of Tom Ripley, Alain Delon has achieved the status of star and icon of plastics.

I worked out at the gym, strengthened my muscles and made sure I gained weight. Mathieu, my character has to put in a lot of physical effort, especially in the second part of the film. (…) Yann had a very precise idea of how Mathieu should dress: with very strong cinematographic references from the 60s. The t-shirt that I wear by the pool and which we called the Delon t-shirt, I find that it gives a very sensual side to everyone these scenes. This corresponded to the desire to make a film that was not only beautiful and modern, at times violent but also sensual and sexy.
