Natalia Lafourcade launches the official music video for “María la Curandera”with which we commemorate International Women’s Day.
The music video was co-directed by Natalia and Martin Bautista. And there is a choreography performed by Natalia and Aisha Serrano.
The song “María la Curandera” belongs to the album “De Todos las Flores”which won Best Latin or Alternative Rock Album at the GRAMMYs last month.
“This month we remember that we are always on the march of struggle for our freedom, for respect for our lives, our ideals and our thoughts, for our bodies,” Natalia said.
And he added: “We wanted to create a dance that would bring to life the words of María Sabina and also all the suppressed words and emotions. A moving ritual and offering that saw women in constant mourning.
Natalia has finally announced a series of special performances with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic: Hollywood Bowl (September 6 and 7) and Carnegie Hall (October 10).
