Market : TF1’s new flagship series
If during the summer of 2023, Cannes Criminal Police there was a lot of talk about it for the wrong reasons (between the public outburst and the flop of the finale), TF1 was more successful with its latest series Market. Airing from March 14, the program once again takes us to the south of France alongside police officers. But the tone here is much more comedic, primarily the game about the rivalry between the two football teams: PSG and OM.
The story begins with Thomas Chevalier, a police officer with an exemplary career. Until the day he has to intervene at an airport. Bad luck, when he tries to neutralize a madman who tries to attack OM’s new star recruit, it hurts the latter. Enough to drive all the Marseille fans crazy. Following his mistake, Thomas is transferred… To Marseille! What is the worst place for him after his mistake. But above all he will have to lead a police unit that no one wants to take charge of. Among its members is Nora Kader, an uncontrollable cop totally different from Thomas. But also his two deputies, Julio Abdelaoui and Ange Colona, also with a terrible reputation. Despite their differences, they will have to work together.

A success for the first episodes
A proposal that was not particularly original, but which nevertheless convinced the public that for the evening of March 14th it preferred TF1 to the other networks. Market it was truly a success with the public more than 4 million viewers. A very solid and similar score to that of Rivière-Perduewhich last January had reached an average of 4.89 million viewers in the first two episodes.
The success of Market it’s all the more surprising since the competition didn’t actually exist. Beijing Express attracted just 2 million people on M6, while France 2 and France 3 made do with 1.8 million and 1.3 million viewers per Corresponding AND Constance in hell.
Arnaud Ducret and Manon Azem you should be happy with these figures. Especially the actress he had a little scared for filming episode 2. Like he saidAssigned, Nora’s portrayer had to run behind a plane at the end of the episode and enter it as it took off. For one shot, the camera sped up too much, causing Manon Azem to panic.
It was much more dangerous because I could hear a suction coming from the advancing plane. I stumbled a little and freaked out, but I managed to get on the plane. I turned around and the cameraman who was following us had fallen to the ground running, with the camera on the ground.
