The Lords reigns supreme on Netflix
Coming to Netflix on March 7, 2024the first series created by English director Guy Ritchie, The Lords, continues to throw the counters into panic. This series is derived from his 2020 film The Lords and also uses the codes to dive even deeper into a major crime intrigue pleasant and breathless. At the end of its first two weeks of broadcast – counted between March 4 and 17 -, The Lords is currently at first place inside The 10 best series in the worldaccumulating 215.7 million hours viewedfor a full views equivalent (EVC) of 33.3 million.
It should be noted that the performance of The Lords holds up particularly well over time, with views starting from the second week (20.1 million EVC) vastly surpassing those of the first (12.2 million), a sign that the series does not disappoint and that word of mouth is working.

The other Netflix series of the moment, Avatar: The Last Airbenderalso a huge success around the world, it has been accumulating since it began broadcasting on February 22, 2024. 55.4 million full views. If the trend displayed by The Lords is maintained, its performance should quickly overcome the one ofAvatar: The Last Airbender. Indeed, after the first two impressive weeks, the third week ofAvatar: The Last Airbender knows a drop of more than 50%rising to 9.1 million EVC after a second week at 19.9 million.
A season 2 already in the works
The Lords it is therefore already a big success for Netflix, and has far exceeded the minimums beyond which series are almost systematically renewed. For the moment, the streaming platform has not communicated anything about a potential season 2. But, on the part of the creators, work is already underway, as the head of Miramax TV Marc Helwig recently assured:
We have started this process. We’ve talked to some writers and there’s a lot of discussion with Guy Ritchie about what he wants to do in season two and what to focus on. (…) (the first season) has to be a success, and we will know more from there, but we are already discussing what this new season could be.
