Don’t say evil : A terrifying thriller starring James McAvoy

James McAvoy he has long proven that he can appear in all types of roles and in very different genres. A good example of her ability to vary is Divided (2017) in which he plays a man suffering from dissociative disorder. The actor then proved to be very disturbing, switching from one personality to another, some of which were very dangerous… Let’s think back a bit about this role in front of the trailer for Don’t say evil that Universal Pictures just revealed. Because here too the actor is really scary.

In these images we discover two families who meet during their holiday abroad. On one side Mackenzie Davis and Scoot McNairy, and their daughter played by Alix West Lefler, and on the other James McAvoy with Aisling Franciosi and their child played by Dan Hough. Since the holidays are going quite well, the first family accepts the invitation of the second to come and visit them in their country house. Only once there, their guests’ behavior turns out to be very strange and embarrassing. And we should witness a real nightmare that could end in a massacre…

The director ofLake of Eden

We owe this next thriller to James Watkins, which harks back to a genre he mastered early on. Actually, before the action movie Bastille Day (2016) and the horror film The lady in black (2012), the director had primarily directed Lake of Eden (2008), his first feature film. In it, a couple is attacked in their country home by a group of youths. In fact, for us, it is one of the best “realistic” horror films.

So there’s something like Don’t say evil, as a moment of peace will turn into a distressing situation. If James McAvoy scares, like Jack Torrance in ShiningAisling Franciosi is also worried. The film will be available to discover in theaters September 18th.
