Old boy : cult film by Park Chan-wook
Many have discovered the cinema of Park Chan-wook with excellent sound Old boy (2003). Based on a manga of the same name (1997) by Nobuaki Minegishi and Garon Tsuchiya, the film left its mark with its violence and darkness, as well as the virtuosity of its direction. In this second work of the director’s revenge trilogy – with Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002) e Lady Vengeance (2005) – we discover a man kidnapped and held prisoner for years in a room. 15 years later, he is released and decides to find the person responsible. An American remake was produced in 2013 by Spike Lee and worn by Josh Brolin (who reprized his role as Choi Min-sik) and Elizabeth Olsen.
