In addition to Clint Eastwood, we find in Full powers Gene Hackman as the president, while Ed Harris plays Seth Frank in charge of the investigation, and Laura Linney plays Kate, Luther’s daughter. Finally, note a big difference between the novel and the film, as the original work focuses on Jack Graham, a lawyer who tries to exonerate Luther, while the feature film gives the thief the main role.

Clint Eastwood and his illegitimate daughters

Full powers is a loosely handled gripping political thriller. But what caught Clint Eastwood’s attention wasn’t this main plot. This is the father/daughter relationship complicated between his character and his daughter. In the film the man seems to have never been present for his daughter. A situation in which Clint Eastwood could identify, as he states in a biography written by Richard Schickel and published in 1996 (reported by The world): “I have been there. I might find links to this“.

In the past, Clint Eastwood had special relationships with some of his children. “In 1964, in fact, he had an illegitimate daughterin which he immediately lost interest before making a belated breakthrough” the world wrote in its article, referring to Kimber Lynn Eastwood (featured in Full powers). But another event had occurred in the director’s personal life a few years before he directed the film.

In 1993, Clint Eastwood discovered he had done so another illegitimate daughterborn February 11, 1954. Nominated Laura Murraythe latter had been entrusted for adoption to her biological mother, who had not adopted her at the time he said nothing about his situation to the actor. At 39, Laurie worked to find her parents and discovered that Clint Eastwood was listed as her biological father on her adoption papers. If her mother had refused to meet her, Clint Eastwood would have agreed to spend time with her. However, for years, the filmmaker had kept the identity of this child a secret before appearing for the first time by his side in 2018during the preview of The mule.
