Tomi Lago presents “Sobre el Pucho”the latest single and “hidden” track from their album “El Consorcio”.
And he does it with the voice and guitar of Ariel Rot, with whom Tomi gives new life to this classic by José González Castillo and Sebastián Piana, thus continuing the invaluable work of conservation and revival of Argentine tango.
In the video you can see a modern-day malevo, wandering the port of Buenos Aires, worshiping simplicity and nostalgia.
The clip was directed by Belén Asad (creator of the “Esperarte”-“Si Supieras”-“Jugar con Fuego” trilogy, inspired by the film “Sur” by filmmaker Pino Solanas) and produced by Wolf Credo.
“The Consortium”, published on November 30, 2023is the debut studio album by Tomi Lago.
With some songs of his own author (co-composed with Joaquín Plada), versions of classics and accompanied by musicians Bruno “El Tano” Mazzitelli and Diego Salko, the album integrates new lunfardos and renews tango in a current perspective.
