Kristen Stewart will reunite with vampires for the film Flesh of the Gods
After dealing with the vampires of the Twilight saga from 2008 to 2012, which made her immensely popular with the general public, Kristen Stewart will find the blood drinkers in a brand new movie that has serious subject matter that will make your mouth water.
As we learn Varietythe actress was just hired, along with Oscar Isaac, to play the lead female role in the film Flesh of the Godsdirected by Panos Cosmatos, best known for directing genre films Mandy with Nicolas Cage.
The film is written by Andrew Kevin Walker, the screenwriter of Seventeen AND The killer, by David Fincher. and produced by Adam McKay (Don’t look up).
The 80s, Los Angeles and vampires
The film Flesh of the Gods will take place in glittering 1980s Los Angeles. It is in this electric atmosphere that a married couple, Raoul (Oscar Isaac) and Alex (Kristen Stewart), leave their apartment every night to explore the depths of the city.
Their existence in a luxury palace contrasts sharply with the nocturnal adventures in which they will encounter a mysterious figure nicknamed Nameless, leader of a group that loves extravagant parties.
The director describes the film as “a journey between dream and nightmare, capturing the dualistic essence of Los Angeles.” This exploration takes them to a vortex of decadencefun and violence, anchored in a world that is both fascinating and surreal.
Adam McKay, for his part, highlights the film’s unique blend, with the presence of vampiresand does not hide his enthusiasm at the idea of starting work:
This director, this screenwriter, these exceptional actors, vampires, the best of 80s punk, a style as far as the eye can see… This is the film we offer you today. We are convinced that it will be a success and that it will be crazy original. We want to make a film that has a profound impact on pop culture, fashion, music and cinema. Can you imagine how excited I am?
We can not wait !
