Max, the new streaming platform finally arrives in France
While the landscape of streaming platforms is already enormously saturated and fans of films and series have to pay several tens of euros every month for their subscriptions, a new platform arrives in June, and risks making a lot of noise. This is Max (formerly HBO Max), the streaming platform of Warner Bros. Discovery, which will arrive in France on June 11, 2024.
Flagship brand licenses no longer need to be submitted Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, game of Thrones, The last of us and countless films and series. The launch date of Max corresponds, not surprisingly, with the arrival of much awaited season 2 of House of the Dragonthe prequel to game of Throneswhich will be available on June 17 on the platform in France (the day after it airs in the United States).

Upon its arrival in France, Max will propose three levels of offer, starting from €5.99 per monthwith the Sport option at the price of €5 per month:
- Max Basic with advertising (€5.99/month) : 2 simultaneous devices, Full HD
- Max Standard (€9.99/month) : 2 simultaneous devices, Full HD, 30 contents to watch offline with additional access to the brand’s television channels: Boomerang, Carton Network, Cartoonito, CNN International, Discovery Channel, ID, TCM Cinéma, TLC, Warner TV and Warner TV Next
- Maximum premium (€13.99/month) : 4 simultaneous devices, Full HD or 4K with Dolby Atmos sound, 100 contents to watch offline and access to the brand’s TV channels
In addition to arriving via the dedicated application, it will also be available to the general public thanks to various distribution partnerships, in particular Canal+. Max will therefore be included in the Canal+ Ciné-Séries, Friends & Family, Intégrale and Rat+ Ciné-Séries subscriptions.
For Prime Video subscribers, Max will also be available on the platform with a surplus, with the exception of those who were already subscribers to Warner Pass. They will continue to benefit from their content and an enriched experience through Max.
For sports enthusiasts, an option for 5 euros more per month it will also be available to add to any plan. It will provide access to the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels. Max will also create a specific system for the Paris Olympic Games that will allow all subscribers to follow the sporting event, whatever their offer.

In addition to the strong titles from the Warner catalog that will be available at the launch of Max in France and the second season of House of the Dragon which will arrive on June 17th, other interesting programs are also expected on the platform soon.
