After seven years as the dr. Levi Schmitt, Jake Borelli (Something About Harry) will leave the cast of Grey’s Anatomy from the recently announced 21st season of the biggest medical series in the history of American television.
According to information from the deadlineas the production is one of the longest-running on TV, the decision to remove Borelli of the main cast is a way to cut costs for the series. The actor will only return as a cameo in a few episodes, to end his character’s arc.

Grey’s Anatomy premiered in March 2005, telling the story of Meredith Gray (Ellen Pompeo), daughter of a renowned surgeon, who was beginning to take her first steps in medicine, and is currently the biggest medical drama in the history of American TV, with more than 400 episodes.
