Patriota detestable but particularly powerful character
In recent years, Homelander has become one of the most recognizable characters on the small screen. Played by Antony Starr, he is the most famous superhero The boysa series whose plot features a gang of vigilantes who want to defeat superheroes whose moral sense leaves something to be desired.
In the world of The boys, Homelander is the perfect illustration of the danger posed by some superheroes. The character is particularly arrogant, power-hungry and also has serious psychopathic tendencies. But so is he one of the most powerful in the series. His interpreter even thinks that he would be able to beat Superman.
Anthony Starr believes he would beat Superman
While the fourth season of The boys will be released soon, which Antony Starr recently gave an interview to Screen triggering in order to ensure its promotion. The American media especially enjoyed asking him if Homelander was capable of beating Superman. And the actor said so his character would take over in such a duel, especially because of his lack of scruples :
“That’s why Homelander would kick Superman’s ass.” There is no Kryptonite factor and Homelander would fight so unfairly. They’re the kind of people who say, “Oh, you got me!” as he falls before getting back up and throwing sand in your eyes. He’s the disloyal boy. Whereas Superman always says, “Oh, I won’t do that.” Oh, there are innocent children who could be affected.’ Homelander would use the children as shields. »
For his part, Jack Quaid disagrees. Hughie’s interpreter in The boys he also lends his voice to the Man of Steel in the animated series My Adventures with Superman. And, in another interview with Screen triggeringhe assured him the famous hero could defeat Homelander. Although the character’s version of him would need it “some seasons” grow up, as he is just starting out as a vigilante in the first few episodes of the animated series.

Whatever the answer to the question of who will win in a possible clash between Superman and Homelander, the latter will be back soon. THE eight episodes from season 4 of The boys will start broadcasting next June 13th on PrimeVideo. Three will come out first. Then one a week until the last one, July 18th.
