Hostel: welcome to hell

If you are a fan of horror films and hemoglobin, you are necessarily familiar with the saga Hostel imagined by Eli Roth and launched in 2006, which has three components.

The first film follows two American students, Paxton and Josh, who travel through Europe with their Icelandic friend Óli. They arrive in Slovakia after being lured by stories of “easy girls” in a hostel. What they discover, however, is a criminal organization that kidnaps tourists to torture and kill them for entertainment purposes for the rich. The film is best known for its scenes of graphic violence and intense torture, and sets a new standard in the “torture porn” genre. When it was released, it was banned for children under 16 with a warning for “numerous images of great violence”.

The first movie Hostel it was a commercial, money-making success over 80 million dollars worldwide for a production budget of just $4.8 million. The two sequels performed less well, but satisfied fans of the genre.

In fact, The Hollywood journalist announces that a series is currently in development. Along with Fleiss, they will also serve as executive producers on the series.
